Highlights
Belitung island is divided into 2 districts, namely the Belitung Regency with Tanjung Pandan as its capital, and East Belitung with Manggar as its capital. Most of the inhabitants, especially those living in coastal areas, are very familiar with the marine life which is rich with seafood. Various fish are processed into foods which makes the daily diet of the locals. The wealth of the sea became one of the livelihoods of the Belitung people.
