THAILAND AND INDONESIA - MID/END AUGUST - MID/END NOVEMBER 2011

Hi, just looking for some travel advice for a trip my partner and I are planning for mid/end august- mid/end November in 2011.

We are looking to start in Thailand, with 3 nights in bangkok and then heading south to do some island hopping and then onto Indonesia to travel around there.

Just wondering what would be the rest route to take and about the weather etc, had a bit of a search around and There is so much information everywhere and some says completely different things about the weather and where to go etc etc.
