On Saturday August 31st 2013, my co-workers & I went to Dewa Beach & Cave in Labangka 1 District Sumbawa Regency. Saw this beach & cave pictures on friend’s Facebook, it looks nice so I asked some friends to go there with me. Labangka is like 2 hours away driving from my house. We left at 9am and arrived there around 11am, we use motorbike and some use the car.

When we arrived In Labangka, I asked someone about the beach direction and they told me, and yea it was pretty easy to find. It took like 10 minutes to reach the beach, we asked some other people too and entered someone shrimp farms area :D (‘cause actually we came from the wrong direction -_-)

The beach is nice, the white sands are amazing, but u have to walk like 200 meters to reach the water :P. But within that “200 meters”, it’s like many ponds there, it’s not really deep but u still can swim, and the waves are cool, it’s pretty big.

I walked around 1st trying to find the cave, then I found a big holes on the big rock, thought I found it, n then I called my friends, but tadaaaaaaa it was the wrong holes, it was Pura Liang Dewa, a place where Hindu people pray, so took a rest for awhile and had lunch under the big rock, it was really cool.

Then i thought that it’s too bad that we were already there but we couldn’t find the cave, so Yanti (my friend) & I walked to the shrimp farms and there was 2 young guys working, I asked them about the cave, they at 1st looked uncertain, so when they told me they know, I kinda didn’t believe that. They said they could take us there and leave their work -_-. Then we said ok but we had to call our other friends, so our 2 guy friends join us going to the cave which is not so far from the beach, its like 200 m to the opposite direction of the beach.

And this cave is cool, it’s just like a hole in the ground that I didn’t believe it was the right cave at 1st. But then we entered, it was kinda small, it was like 1 m width with only 1 flashlight with no light :D, well just a very small lights for 6, eh 5 of us, cause 1 guy friend didn’t wanna join, he said it reminds him of Sanctum movie and made him afraid -_-

So we climbed down, it was so slippery, so better be careful. Then we found some torch we found inside the cave which I think people leave it there to help people like us -_-. It was pretty big inside, but too bad that there was no bats, cave is not cool without bats :D

After like 15 or 20 minutes walking because the 2 guide guys not really sure where to go, then we arrived in the small ponds with clear water, just like in the pictures I saw on Facebook. Then we took some pictures there, I get into the water few times (just to take pictures) it was fresh and I don’t know,,just amazing to be there. Really wanted to take shower there if no guys but if I was alone, I would be afraid for sure -_-

We then back outside and brought other friends with us, so I entered the cave twice, I’m the expert now ^_^. Then we just spent the rest of our times laying in the sand and swimming (only me). I was the only one who can’t swim, but I was the only one swimming -_-

But it was really fun to be there, I love the beach I love the cave, and I love spending my time there <3
