I Don't be surprised if someone into Cancar, Flores find a rice field shaped like that! This isn't a crop circle, but the fields that are deliberately shaped.....
Shaped rice field can be tough in area Cancar, Manggarai, NTT. This rice field isn't deliberately formed as a spider web to make it look funny, but this is a system of distribution of rice undertaken by the chairman of the local customs.
Manggarai community has come to know the tradition of the division of fields since then and have done for generations. Fields are called Lingko divided. Lingko is customary land owned collectively by the residents, and managed to make ends meet.
Like humans, Lingko has its own name. Lingko name depending on the type of plants in the region at the opening of the land. In addition, the name Lingko also be obtained from the geographical shape of the land. One example is the name for the striped rambang Lingko the native plants found many stripes, a kind of reed plants.
Lingko not individually owned, but owned by each of the tribes in the region. Each tribe has its elders that served to divide the amount Lingko. Lingko sharing system called lodok.
Division of land is done by determining the center point of a stretch of customary land. Then, at the center of the wood grown specifically. The size of the soil is determined from the position of someone in the village and the family. The higher the position, the greater the soil in the can. Without realizing it, this division was established fields such as spider webs.
When viewed up close, it looks ordinary rice fields as fields in general. Try to walk to the plateau and look toward the field. You will be fascinated with the field that is similar to a spider web.
To achieve Cancar and see for yourself the uniqueness of their fields, you can begin the journey from the City Market Cancar Ruteng to use taxis. Rates to be paid is -+ $ 40. Quite expensive indeed, but is worth the long travel time, which is 45 minutes.
in Cancar, you will find the path to the village of Cancar. About 3 km ahead, visitors will meet with quite a pretty steep incline. Here, the motor was not able to get in, someone from the village in Cancar will welcome and invited guests sign the guest book. After filling the room, you can go into the village and enjoy its natural beauty, and enchanted by the uniqueness of the field.
